Genesis: Why the Name Ranggasthala?

This didn't begin in a boardroom. It began on the vibrant streets of Udupi, on the southwestern coast of India — where art is not confined to galleries or screens, but lives and breathes among its people.

Ranggasthala is more than just a word. It's a sacred stage. It's where Yakshagana - a centuries-old folk theatre — comes alive in open-air performances under the stars. Entire streets transforming into arenas of imagination. The rhythms of which create a heartbeat of collective memory.
